HISTORY

Chet Kerr, an attorney and Co-Chair of the Greater Irvington Land Conservancy Foundation, researched land records of the Parcel. He reports: 

"Because of its proximity to the Dobbs Ferry Dock and, later, the train station, it has been in the middle of Village life for many years and was owned in the past by Van Brugh Livingston and Shadrach Taylor, two of the leading citizens in the early days of the Village."

Below is a map from 1892 that shows the Parcel as Rail Road Property.  Below that is a drawing of the elevations done for the Village by Hahn Engineering a few years ago.
