Earthworms!

It was our first time back since the fall. We were psyched that some of the plants survived and looked great! And—Heidi found earthworms!

"To survive, earthworms need moist soils that have sufficient residue or organic matter for food. ... They improve soil structure, water movement, nutrient cycling and plant growth. They are not the only indicators of healthy soil systems, but their presence is usually an indicator of a healthy system." - MSU Extension

We are excited that Sophia Giddens is joining the crew. Her energy and knowledge is very welcome!
