"Thank you!"
While we were at the Parcel on July 4 a couple drove by in a car, rolled down their window, and said "Thank you!" !
And, Astrid said she passed by earlier in the week and someone was sitting on the bench!!
Joey B - a man who used to work for the DPW - also stopped by and told us how nice the parcel used to be in the 1970s
We cut more knotweed, cleared space around the 2 pawpaw trees and 2 dogwood trees on the plateau to the south of the stairs. We also planted 4 oak trees on the north side of the stairs. Ken moved back brush and found some of the pachysandra the town planted in summer 2019.
NOTE: There is a Japanese variety of pachysandra (Pachysandra terminalis) and a native variety, Allegheny pachysandra (Pachysandra procumbens).
Which one do you think is in the parcel?
